3 Ways to Create a Steady Cash Stream while You Work from Home

Work from home and create a steady cash stream with these three ideas….

Working from home was once merely a dream for most people. Until the onslaught of the Internet and home PCs, it simply wasn’t feasible for companies to hire employees to work from home. And starting a small business took special know-how, a large initial investment, and a lot of advertising and marketing. But now, working from home is a reality for thousands of people, and you too can realize this dream.

The first goal for your home business should be to find ways to create steady cash flow. You’ll need cash flow to operate and promote your home business, and to secure a lucrative income for yourself. There are many different ways to create a cash stream for your home business. Here are three ideas to get you started.

1. Buy a Pre-Existing Profitable Business to Work From Home

One way to create an immediate cash flow is to buy a pre-existing home business that is already making a profit. Of course, you will not enjoy a profit immediately because you must invest initially. But once you are able to recover from the initial investment, you can continue receiving profits year after year.

The key benefit of buying a pre-existing work-from-home business is you will gain knowledge from the previous owner about what works for the business and what doesn’t work. The main disadvantage is you will have to follow in the footsteps of another instead of building your own home business from the ground up. There’s a great sense of pride when you can truly call a business “your own!”

2. Follow a Profitable Business Model to Work From Home

Another way to create a cash stream for your work-from-home business is to follow the profitable business model of another. You can learn a lot from others who have already been successful with a home business. Many long-time entrepreneurs are creating e-books and global networks to help new home business owners become a success. They are revealing little-known secrets about work-from-home businesses that would likely take you years to discover on your own.

Look for entrepreneurs who have owned work-from-home businesses in a field that interests you. Use their ideas and examples to create a profitable business model for your new home business.

3. Internet and Network Marketing

A third way to create a cash stream of income is to utilize the Internet and network marketing to your advantage. Find and join a team of individuals who have similar goals and work with them to build a successful online business. With the Internet and network marketing, many are realizing their financial goals faster than they ever imagined.

Network marketing online can be accomplished through email and a website while working from home, and it can bring more people together with similar goals in a very short period of time. Many global network companies will promote your online business for you and take every initiative to help you become a success. There are even global resorts networks that enable you to travel to exotic places while earning a substantial income.

Whatever method you choose to create a cash stream as you work from home, set some goals for your business and start realizing your dreams today! If you all enjoy these show me by sharing with a friend and sign up below!

Introduction

10 Tips for Using Instant Messaging for Business, Here’s the scene: A couple of dozen professionals at a big advertising agency quietly type away at computer screens near each other, in an open room devoid of office walls and partitions.

An occasional laugh punctuates the silence. But no one is talking. They are communicating with one another almost exclusively through instant messaging (IM).

“When I’m visiting this firm, I can’t help but notice this [lack of people talking]. Seems odd to an outsider, but this is now pretty much their corporate culture,” says Helen Chan, an analyst for The Yankee Group, a US-based technology research group, who has friends at the agency.

A technology designed initially for one-on-one personal chats has reached the workplace. Many business people are choosing text-based Instant Messaging over phone calls and emails. They prefer its immediacy and efficiency in getting real-time information from partners, suppliers, and colleagues working remotely.

What is IM Messaging?

Instant messaging is essentially the text version of a phone call. At businesses large and small, more and more people are using it to communicate. For many, it serves as a backstop for e-mail problems and other emergencies Witness the spikes in usage after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

The Wall Street Journal notes that more than 100 million people are now sending instant messages. In a report, “IM: The Sleeping Giant,” technology consultant Gartner Group predicts that by 2005, instant messaging will surpass email as the primary online communications tool.

That said, IM will benefit businesses that work in teams or on projects more than it will many retailers, independent professionals, and others. That’s because IM enhances collaboration, but does not lend itself to opening new relationships. However, aside from the opportunities for time and cost savings, there are risks and downsides to its use.

Whether you’re a business owner or an avid IM user, or both, here are 10 instant messaging do’s and don’ts.

1. Do adopt a user policy for instant messaging.

If you’re an owner, your employees need to know whether you view instant messaging as an appropriate vehicle to communicate with, say, customers, or business partners. Any policy should contain at least general guidelines for its use. You may not think this is important? unless you know the story about the hedge fund manager who caused a major commotion by allegedly using IM to spread inaccurate rumors about a publicly-traded software company. (Word got out, the software company’s stock plunged, and the hedge fund manager and his company got into some serious trouble.)

2. Don’t use instant messaging to communicate confidential or sensitive information.

Take a lesson from the above example. If your company is in the business of providing professional advice regarding stocks, finances, medicine, or law, chances are it’s not smart to do so through instant messaging. IM is better suited to quick information about project status, meeting times, or a person’s whereabouts.

3. Do organize your contact lists to separate business contacts from family and friends.

Make sure your employees do the same. Eliminate even the remote possibility that social contact could be included in a business chat with a partner or customer ? or vice versa. MSN Messenger[link] lets you organize your contacts carefully.

4. Don’t allow excessive personal messaging at work.

Yes, you make personal phone calls at work, send personal emails, and allow your employees to do the same. But you encourage them to keep it to a minimum and (hopefully) do the same yourself. For instant messaging go even further. Urge that personal chats be done during breaks or the lunch hour ? or that the chats generate new customers or revenue for the business.

5. Do be aware that instant messages can be saved.

You may think IM is great because you can let your guard down, make bold statements, chastise a boss, employee, or co-worker, and have it all wiped away from the record when you are done. What you aren’t realizing is that one of the parties to your conversation can copy and paste the entire chat onto a notepad or Word document. Some IM services allow you to archive entire messages. Be careful what you say, just like you would in an email.

6. Don’t compromise your company’s liability or your own reputation.

The courts may still be figuring out where instant messages stand in terms of libel, defamation, and other legal considerations. It’s likely that any statements you make about other people, your company, or other companies probably aren’t going to land you in court. But they could damage your reputation or credibility. Be careful what you say.

7. Do be aware of virus infections and related security risks.

Most IM services allow you to transfer files with your messages. Alexis D. Gutzman, an author and eBusiness consultant, says her recent research for a book found that IM file attachments carrying viruses penetrate firewalls more easily than email attachments. “Instant messages [carrying viruses] will run and dip into a firewall until they find an opening,” she says. You’d be wise to learn more about the quality of your own firewall protection, to decide whether or not to restrict transferring files through IM.

8. Don’t share personal data or information through IM.

Even if you have the utmost trust in the person or people you are messaging, including personal information you’d rather keep confidential (like a phone number) is not a good idea. That’s because the text of your chat is relayed through a server en route to your contact. “If anyone is on the connection and can see that traffic, they can see the personal information,” says Chris Mitchell, lead program manager with MSN Messenger. Not likely, perhaps. But it’s better to send such info through an encrypted email, or not at all.

9. Do keep your instant messages simple and to the point, and know when to say goodbye.

How you should use IM is hard to stipulate. Kaneko Burney, director of eBusiness research at Cahners In-Stat Group, prefers it simply for seeing if a colleague is at his or her desk, available for an in-person or telephone call. “It’s like peeking into someone’s office.” Gutzman, on the other hand, sees IM as a way to do a quick research and get fast information from consultants and even lawyers. She recently used IM in researching a book, saving entire messages in her personal archives. Both agree, however, that you must limit your inquiry, get to the point right away, and avoid unnecessary blather. “With instant messaging, you don’t need a lot of pleasantries,” Gutzman says. “I pretty much can say, ‘How’s it going?’ and then get on with my question.”

10. Don’t confuse your contacts with a misleading user name or status.

IM user names, like email user names, should be consistent throughout your company. And users should do the courtesy of updating their status throughout the day, so contacts know whether they are available for messages. If you all enjoy these, show me by sharing with a friend and sign up below!

Regardless of where we are in life we can all learn something about money and how to better prepare for our future. This article can put you back on track to a more fulfilling and financially free life.

7 Great Money Tips To Lead You To Financial Freedom Copyright 2006 David Maillie

Financial freedom is a challenge regardless of where we are in life, we can all learn something about money and how to better prepare for our future. Especially when we see that the national average is $10,000 in credit card debt and that savings and preparedness are dropping. This article can put you back on track to a more fulfilling and financially free life.

1) Automate your investments for financial freedom.

Experience has proven that if we have to make a conscious effort every time we need to invest we will start with good intentions and then miserably fail a few months later. If you can automate your savings, whether by using your employers 401k, a Sep (self-employment plan), or direct deductions from your account you will reach financial freedom. The rule here is if you don’t see it, you won’t realize it and you won’t miss it. Some of these deductions will reduce your taxable income and save you further on taxes (see your CPA and tax advisor for more info on this). A good rule of thumb is to set aside 10% of your income.

2) Real estate, financial freedom.

If you haven’t already, buy a house. Renting will only make your landlord (hint – house owner) rich. Regardless of what the immediate market does real estate is one of the best long-term investments you can make. It also has many advantages, including deductions for mortgage interest. Real estate will always go up. People will always need a roof over their heads. Just watch HGTV, real estate has made many millionaires and is a key factor in almost every tape and book series on gaining wealth. Stick with the standard 30 years fixed mortgage and you will reach financial freedom.

3) Medical and life insurance.

You need to have them if you think you don’t just ask anyone that didn’t have it when something unexpected happened. If you love your family, they are a must. But, on that note, don’t get taken. Buy term life. 20 years will give good term coverage and if you follow all of these tips you won’t need anything beyond that. Whole life only makes your agent rich and really never builds any value for the huge costs involved. Term life can be purchased cheaply over the internet at great savings. For medical insurance, in most states, Blue Cross and Blue Shield offer great plans that are a fraction of Cobra or employer plans. If you have an adequate employer plan, by all means, use it. Stick with big names like Blue Cross as they will be around for years.

4) Don’t ever buy new cars if you want financial freedom

It is a fact that new cars lose 25-30% of their value the moment you drive it off the lot. Let someone else pay for that depreciation and get a two or three-year-old car or truck. With the latest technological advances, cars can easily go 150,000 miles and above. A two or three-year-old vehicle with 30,000 miles on it will save you not only in initial cost, but also on your insurance, and taxes. Also, do your homework before buying your car. Get your credit score and see what loans you qualify for. This can easily be done right off the internet and will save you big at your local dealer (never take a dealer’s word for your credit and rate – they will hold 1-3 points on rate and that can mean thousands in extra interest over the term of the loan).

5) Get out of debt.

I put the investment tips above this as you need to pay yourself first. If you are overwhelmed with debt, numerous non-for-profit agencies will renegotiate your debt and terms on your behalf. Work out a plan to get the high-interest debt paid off. Be wiser with your purchases – do you really need that 60-inch flat-screen tv? A BMW you cannot afford? Etc… Cut up all cards, but 1 (for emergencies you should have 1 credit card) and no store cards. The whole purpose behind store cards is to entice you to buy more and pay more. My grandfather said it best – “if you can’t afford it, don’t buy it.” The only good loan to have is a mortgage.

6) Never burn bridges.

If you happen to leave your current employ, leave on good terms. Find a replacement if time permits. This will put you in a good light with your former management and can result in a good reference, another job, a callback for more money, etc… Never leave on bad terms. It’s just not good Kharma. Also, it won’t hurt to take former business associates and customers to lunch regularly. This will keep you in tune with the industry, give you many additional contacts afford you future favors – just think of the lobbyists on Capitol Hill, you don’t think they spend all that money on their politicians for nothing, do you? Don’t be afraid to ask for a favor every once in a while. Kharma is the big rule here -when you help others you will inadvertently help yourself.

7) Give back.

Once you’ve made it it is only fair that you help others less fortunate than yourself. Regardless of your beliefs when you donate time and money helping others you will inadvertently help yourself. You will feel great. Also, the cardinal rule of karma is that when you give, you will get many more times what you give back. Take the time to help by volunteering your time. Even if it is one hour a week, you will help improve someone else’s life. Volunteer, it will make you a better person. If you all enjoy these, show me by sharing with a friend and sign up below!

8 Things to Avoid When Starting an Online Business

I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post that support my business.

Introduction to online business

Online business is absolutely a brilliant way of earning extra money as a student or a jobber. And you can convert it to your full-time job as well when you feel ready. Although with the recent advancements in technology, anyone can start an online business, everyone can’t gain success. Let me tell you a fact that will valid my previous point. Around 90% of new online business startups fail in their starting 4 months. So, running an online business not an easy task, and making a success from it is not a piece of cake. A business can only succeed when a proper strategy is followed. It is also very important to avoid mistakes. I agree that making mistakes is a great way of learning and exploring new things, but some mistakes can destroy your business. Here in this article, I will be discussing 8 things to avoid when starting an online business.

Ignoring the importance of having a business plan

This is what most people do wrong. This is one of the biggest online mistakes. I repeat never. It can cause you big trouble. Ignoring the importance of a plan is what most people do and as the result, they fail. Although with big-format business going old-fashioned, you don’t need a big 20-page business plan, instead you must have an attack plan. How are you trying to make things work? Mostly, what people do is dive right into it without a strategy. You should keep information about your target audience on the plan. Find out about their needs and requirements. Keep a track of products you are selling and how much customers are willing to pay for them. Check out if you are overcharging. These factors must be a part of your plan and they carry huge importance.

Delaying Your online business Start-Up

Looking at so many businesses succeeding online, you might think that this is the right time for you to start. It is necessary to research the market, business, and competitors before starting a business but don’t devote too much of your time to just researching. Taking too much time into researching can cause you to lose the opportunity. You need to understand that you are not alone in the market. Many businesses are already running and new are being launched every single day. You have got a tough competition. And if you delay the start of your business, chances are that your online business won’t be able to conquer it because you won’t have much equipment to combat it.
Don’t think that you cannot set up your business without a perfect solution. Even an 80 percent perfect strategy can do the task. And in some cases, the perfection rate is even lesser. So, don’t take much longer to researching. Instead, gear yourself up with only the necessary equipment and go for it.

Your Business is your Passion:

Making money from the business is certainly the most foremost objective, but it is not the biggest reason behind starting an online business. Passion or interest is the biggest reason behind starting an online business. There is a popular saying that “lucky are those who turn their passion into their profession”. It is human nature that he works hard for something he is interested in. More productivity results in a higher chance of success. And more productivity is possible only with hard work. If you do anything without interest, be it study or work, you won’t succeed in that. Without interest, you will not be able to taste the real joy a business offers. You will be missing out on perks like learning new things and generating more sales.
For instance, if you are running a sports equipment business and you are not interested in sports. I can assure you that there will be negative impacts on every department of your business.
Interest is very necessary. If you won’t do it as your passion, then what difference will be left between a 9 to 5 job and a business? The main reason for starting an online business is gaining freedom. And when the main objective is not fulfilling, what will be the benefit? So, make sure that you select the business you are truly passionate about.

Don’t try to be a Superman:

As we are discussing the things to avoid when starting an online business, we cannot ignore this point.
You are no superman! You cannot just fly and possess x-ray vision at the same time. In my case, I don’t even have any of the above-mentioned superpowers. And I bet that you also won’t have unless you are a superman, which you are not. That is what I am telling you. You cannot do everything yourself. I don’t doubt your skills. I am sure that you must be an expert in your field, but time is the biggest constraint. And even if you can manage the time and do all the work yourself, you won’t be able to produce as many productive results. And productivity is the key to success so it can never be neglected. So what should be done in this case? The answer is outsourcing. Give the work to other experts in the particular field. For example, you need to get a website ready for your business, you can hire some freelancer online. You need a graphic designer, you can go to websites like 99Designs. You should know how to manage your time. Time is very precious and once gone, it won’t come back ever again. So, utilize it the best and don’t try to do everything yourself.

Neglecting the importance of Digital Marketing:

Everything is going digital, so is marketing. Have you ever wondered about the reasons behind the success of famous brands? One of the major reasons is digital marketing. They are investing money in marketing their content digitally. This is such an investment that you will never regret making.
While digital marketing, social media platforms must be given preference as you can gain a lot of audience from there. Here comes a little tip from my side. “Never put all the eggs in one basket”. Don’t just focus on one platform. Rather, do your marketing on every platform and try to bring traffic from everywhere. Also, do the proper search engine optimization (SEO) of your content for better search results ranking of your website and blogs. So never write off the importance of digital marketing in your online business.

Setting up unrealistic goals:

Make a list of your goals you want to achieve from your business. But keep in mind, they should be realistic.  You cannot just expect to become a millionaire in the starting months of your online business. It is the wrong approach. Instead, walk in baby steps. Set up realistic goals that you can achieve. You cannot earn much profit in the first year of your business, but this should not discourage you and hold back from doing more struggle. The thumb rule of success is hard work. So remember, set up realistic goals, and don’t get discouraged.

Fearing the Failure:

This probably is the biggest thing holding you back from success. People start to fear even before they start. And it is quite normal as it is a part of human nature. Whenever a human steps out of his comfort zone, his brain signals him to take a step back and return to the comfort zone. Although the fear is natural, don’t let it take over you. The most major fear is what you will do when people will blame you in the case of failure. This fear is the biggest hurdle in your way to success. And you can cross it only by eliminating it.
Failure is part of everyone’s life. But you have to take failure positively and less from your mistakes and try to improve them. No matter if you fail once or twice or even more, the final result will eventually be a success.
Change your mindset of failure, and success will be your destination.

Don’t ignore the Legal Work:

You might ignore this point as it won’t seem much important to you. But I can assure you this is one of the important aspects. You should some basic required legal stuff. You can educate yourself about legal stuff online. The following mentioned are the most important legal factors you should never ignore.

  1.  Select a unique name for your business. Make sure no other business is running with the same name you are looking to go with. Otherwise, you can face serious legal actions and copyright consequences.
  2.  Your logo should also be unique. Make sure someone else doesn’t have the same logo. You must hire a professional designer for designing the logo as he can design as well as identify the similarity in the logo.
  3.  Specify all the duties of the company’s partner.
  4. Explain the rights of the business.

Conclusion:

We discussed the 8 major things to avoid when starting an online business. These 8 are some big mistakes that most people make. I hope that your doubts are cleared and you won’t make these mistakes while starting your business. If you all enjoy these show me by sharing with a friend and sign up below Good luck!

The 5 Best Reasons to Start an Online Business

I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post.

Five primary reasons to start an online business.

Starting an online business can make a massive impact on your life, both socially and monetarily. In this era, there cannot be a better business idea and then an online business. This is easy to start, manage, and most importantly, it is inexpensive to start. All you have to do is to buy a domain, hosting, and some theme for your website, and you are good to go. Let me share an interesting fact with you. Last year, around 1.79 billion people shopped online, which shows that people have now started to prefer online shopping more than ever. And this also means that these days, online business is on the hot seat.
The thing which holds back most people from starting an online business is not having a good business idea. Honestly, the majority of people don’t have a good idea before starting. You mostly crack the code down the road. The clue is to dive into the world of online business and get going. Fortunately, now with so many websites and social media platforms, pursuing an online business is more comfortable and convenient.
You cannot find the advantages of online business in a traditional offline place.

1) Be Your Own Boss

Ever thought about what office life would be like without having a boss. With no one above your head, 24/7, the office would be like a paradise. No boss, no worries. Unfortunately, this is not possible in a traditional business. But online businesses offer this perk. And in my opinion, this is the most significant advantage of starting an online business. And honestly, this the thing that attracts people most towards online business.

You can feel free in online business as no one will be scolding you for some mistake. No longer will have to live with the fear of getting fired anytime soon. You will no longer have to tolerate the things you don’t like. You won’t be taking orders from anyone. There will be no boundaries to work. Just set your own rules and operate according to your methodology.
No matter if your boss is a friendly and co-operative or a strict person, I can assure you that working under yourself is better than working under a boss. So, start a business and enjoy your freedom.

2) No Time Constraints

The most boring aspect of office life is sitting at the same desk and chair and working continuously for hours and hours. This is not the case with any online business.
You will have the facility to set your own schedule. Set your own working hours and days. Do you love to work on weekdays or weekends? Do you think you are more efficient in the morning or at the midnight? Just set the schedule according to your ease. Work only when you feel like working.

Setting your own schedule

This will add more productivity to you. When you work with the interest you are more focused which results in more productivity. Your income depends on your productivity rather than the working hours. Even if you work 4 hours per day, but make them the most productive, it will earn you more than working 8 hours. Your productivity is directly proportional to your income. The more productive you are, the more money you will earn.

A flexible schedule also affects your health positively. You will get the free time which you can utilize to keep yourself fit and energetic. Enjoy your free time jogging or exercising. The biggest drawback of a jobber’s life is he usually loses his social life to a great extent. Due to the lack of time, they miss most of the parties, get-togethers, and reunions. But as an online business owner, you set your own schedule which is flexible enough to enjoy your social life. You can go to parties, plan vacations and trips.

3) Low-Cost  Online Business

Unlike a traditional offline business, you don’t require a building to set up your office in. You can even start your online business using an internet connection and computer at a net cafe. So, all you need to get started is a computer, internet connection, domain name, and hosting for your website. Starting will cost you something between $100-$200.
After you have created a blog, the main goal is to bring the audience and once you gain enough traffic, you can start creating products or services on your blog. You can offer different products on your website. Digital assets like software are the easiest to sell products as a beginner and they are also the most popular type of products being sold online.
Depending on the niche of the blog, if you are not interested in creating your products, then you can become an affiliate and start recommending other seller’s products to your audience. Platforms like Amazon, Wix, etc. offer an affiliate program. I can assure you that you can earn a very handsome amount from these programs.

No Shipping cost

As everything is online, so you no longer need to bear the expenses of shipping costs. This is another benefit of doing an online business.
Or If your business is based on shipping products physically, then you can start a blog or website for it so you can manage the business online and gain more audience.
As we have already discussed, there is no need for a proper location. You don’t have to set up your office which can save a lot of money. This saving includes the costs of building rents, utility bills, and much more.
So, you can start an online business at a very minimal cost and boost your traffic and earn more sales. Online business is probably the most inexpensive business to start and will help you make easy online money.

4) You don’t need an In-House team

In an offline business, you cannot even imagine working without an in-house team. The hiring and other expenses of staff working under you can stress the business a lot. But what if I tell you that it is not mandatory to hire a complete team in an online business. You might believe at the first but that is true.

You can outsource the work in Your Online Business

Whether it is related to graphic design, content writing, or SEO, you can get everything done from freelancers all around the globe. You can go on freelance websites and search for sellers that fits your needs and budget. And hire them and make an online team. An online team in the competition with an in-house team Is so far better and is much more capable than local workers as they work with people from all around the world. So, they have more hands-on experience in different jobs.

5) Earn more than your expectations

How much can I earn from an online business? Probably the most frequently asked question from all the newbies. And I can give you only one answer to this. Only the sky is the limit.
As we already talked a little bit about it earlier, your earnings online do not depend upon the number of hours you work, instead, it depends upon your productivity. How successful online business becomes depends upon your productivity level. You might’ve heard about the concept of smart work instead of hard work. Smart work is the right approach for succeeding as an online business owner. You can reduce the number of your working hours by doing important tasks like website creation, designing, and SEO more efficiently.
As an online businessman, you don’t need to be online every time. You can earn even when you are sleeping. Your presence is not mandatory at the time of transactions.
You can also earn passive income with the growth of your products.
The main thing is to love what you do. Enjoy your work and you will see how your productivity grows up.
Low investment on the blog, etc. is compulsory but this will return you a huge profit.

Conclusion:

Earlier in the article, I gave a brief introduction to an online business and how it is better than a traditional business. Then we talked about the reasons to start an online business and also learned about the facts which attract people the most towards online business. We discussed why an in-house team is not compulsory for an online business. Also discussed why an online business is not dependent upon constraints like time and location. We also talked about how it can earn you more money than an offline business. I hope that you are now clear about how an online business works and why you should give preference to it instead of another business model. I don’t see any reason why you still would not want to go for an online business. If you all enjoy these show me by sharing with a friend and sign up below!

  2. How much time are you going to put by each week for your new business?
  3. How much money are you going to invest?
  4. You need to study and learn about the products or services you are going to sell or provide.
  5. Make sure you, read, watch and listen to as much information as you can about your new business.
  6. You will have to deal with friends and family telling you that you have made a mistake and that you should stick with what you know.
  7. Does your new business operate by, face to face, telephone, direct mail, online, or indeed all of the above?
  8. You need to set goals and targets and if you don’t make them you can tell yourself off.
  9. NEVER QUIT! You must persevere, if you REALLY want to succeed, you WILL.
  10. There is no one to answer to, just you, so you will, from time to time need to have a word with yourself. You will probably start talking to yourself quite a bit, well I do anyway!

All successful people have one thing in common, they NEVER QUIT. Remember the Zig Ziglar saying, ‘The major difference between the big shot and the little shot is the big shot is just a little shot who kept on shooting.’

Having your own business and being your own boss isn’t for everyone. Indeed, some people are happy with other people taking control of their lives.

This sort of person would not be reading this now, they would have been long gone.

If you are reading this article you probably are the sort of person that wants to take control, the sort of person that has the “Entrepreneurial flair“, the sort of person that has the passion, enthusiasm, vision, effort, and focus to live the life of your dreams.

If you are this type of person I wish you all the luck in the world, you just have to believe you can do it, sometimes it’s hard and you will want to quit, DO NOT QUIT.

Jack Dempsey, the world-famous boxer said, “A champion is someone who gets up even when they can’t”.

How great would it feel if you went to your existing boss in six months and said, I’m earning more at my part-time job than I am at my full-time job, I simply cannot afford to work for you anymore, GOODBYE!?

Become a Millionaire with Custom T-Shirt Printing

The American dream is to strike it rich as a self made millionaire. While in theory this is a fantastic idea, the truth is that there are few industries left where people can start from scratch and make themselves a millionaire through nothing but their own perseverance and skills selling custom printed t-shirts

Getting Started in T-shirt Printing

The American dream is to strike it rich as a self made T-shirt Printing millionaire. While in theory this is a fantastic idea, the truth is that there are few industries left where people can start from scratch and make themselves a millionaire through nothing but their own perseverance and skills. Furthering this dilemma is the fact that a lot of those jobs require a very high level of education and more importantly the years spent obtaining that education.

What Does it Require?

I’ll let you in on a secret, I have a bachelor’s degree, and although I do not down play the importance of education for the vast majority of people (especially my children, who already think they know everything), I did not need that degree. I could just as easily started doing what I do now with nothing more than a GED. The wholesale T-Shirt industry is truly a way where a hardworking, motivated, and personable individual can make hundreds of thousands of dollars every year.

How did I Get started in the T-shirt Printing Business?

I started out selling T-Shirts as a part time job to supplement what can only be considered a dismal income. I was actually turned on to the idea from a good friend of mine who makes as much as I do now. All it took to start from scratch was a small amount of money; remember at this point I was living from paycheck to paycheck. I used this money to buy some business cards and register the name of my company. I then sat down and started calling local businesses in the phonebook. A few of these companies went on to be my first customers and many of them continue to do business with me to this day.

Finding Suppliers

With a base of customers, I needed suppliers. I needed suppliers, textile manufactures. This wasn’t hard. They’re in business to sell you their clothing, and they make high quality products. From there it was a matter of getting a contract screen printer to do the printing for me.

T-shirt Printing Full-Time

That is the long and short story of how my business began. I bought t-shirts and paid a contract printer to do the screen printing. Then sold this product to my costumers. I came to think of myself as adding value to the t-shirts and bringing buyers and sellers together; all the while I was making more than I would have thought possible years earlier. I needed very little cash because I didn’t buy anything until my customers had committed to buying the custom t-shirts. If they wanted to pay with credit card it worked even better because I knew I already had the money. There was never very much risk and the potential for the reward was fantastic.

Becoming Independent

Eventually my company was making enough money and taking up enough time that I was able to leave my previous job to do it full time. I hired a secretary as soon as I could financially justify it and this freed up my time to seek and meet with customers. My company allowed me to make enough to grow the business and still never worry about my financial situation. The most beautiful thing about the way I did it, in terms of growth is that it never felt that I was risking anything I couldn’t afford to lose.

Growing The Business

About fifteen years after I started I got to a point where I was making enough money to try another expansion. I decided I would move into the screen printing myself. I currently own my own screen printing equipment and have a full time staff to do the contract printing for others that I used to have done for my own customers. While I currently am in the process of setting up other companies that do what I started to do. I sell these companies to other ambition individuals and work as their screen printer. They go and get the customers for themselves, and I offer advice and the contract screen printing.

helping others

We set up the new companies with their own website that offers pricing and quotes built in to it. We do the screen printing at special prices because of the special nature of the relationship that we have with these companies. Our websites allow the companies to decide what price they want to sell the shirts. This relationship benefits everyone because they don’t need to go thru the hoops of finding the printer. We setup the company and website, and it generates business for our company too.

Where I’m At now

This is where I currently am in my own business. I have attempted to show you the evolution of my business. I have made more than enough money to live comfortably, help put my children thru college, and save for retirement. The best part is how much I enjoy my job. I have woken up every day for the past ten years grateful to know that I am my own boss. My destiny is my own hand and I answer to no one. Firmly I believe getting into this industry was one of the best choices I have ever made. Think about this the next time you wake up dreading going to work or the next time your boss is any four letter word you’d like.

1. Start a Business at Home by Offering Web-related Services

If you’re skilled in Web design, graphic design, Internet marketing, or other Web-related services, you can make money online by offering these services to others. There are many homemakers and business people just like you who are getting online to start a business. They’ll need their own website, hosting, domain name, company Web logo, and Internet marketing services.

If you can provide these services, you’ll have a terrific opportunity for residual income. Many of these services are paid monthly or yearly, so the potential for success is amazing.

2. Educate Others and Work from Home

If you have special skills and love to teach, there’s good news. You no longer have to apply for a teaching job at a school or university. You can now start your own training website and teach others from the comfort of your own home. The Internet is flooded daily with people who want to increase their knowledge and skills. Many moms and dads are now offering classes, selling e-books, and providing instructional websites all while staying home with the kids. It’s a great way to make money online without paying high daycare bills!

There are also unique home business solutions online, where you can sign up with a company that provides training to students for you. You can potentially earn a huge residual income by promoting their educational services.

MLM has grown tremendously in recent years, thanks to online technology. More and more people are making money online with MLM because it’s so much easier to communicate using online resources such as email, websites, and instant messaging.
If you decide to join an MLM company, be sure the company is trustworthy. Investigate before you sign on, or find a company that will investigate for you. A good place to start is a dependable MLM directory. These companies will investigate many different home business solutions and list only those that are legitimate and that offer the most profit potential.

4. Niche Home Business Solutions

Many homemakers are earning a substantial income by offering niche products or services. For example, the mother who loves to sew baby clothing decides to sell her items through her own website or consignment websites. Or, a father who loves to do handiwork around the house starts a “handyman” e-zine and sells related products and tools. A young college student discovers the secrets to college life and starts his or her own “college life” newsletter.

The possibilities are endless. Other niche home business ideas include baking, hunting, fishing, musical instruction, handmade crafts, handmade furniture, parenting, pets, weddings, gardening, and sports.

5. Investments

If you like to take your chances in the stock market, investing is easier than ever on the Internet. Many homemakers make money online by investing in Forex, the popular and lucrative currency exchange market. Some earn money with traditional stocks. If this is your passion, you can now do it from home with minimal effort.

Please be careful, as there are many scams with companies trying to get you to invest in fake stocks. Check out every opportunity carefully, and keep your funds safe by dealing only with reputable, well-known stock companies and brokers.

No matter which homes business solution you choose, use online directories and the testimonies of other online business owners to help you find the opportunities that will fit your schedule and budget.

5 Start-up Ideas for Your Home-Based Business

Thinking of starting a home-based business? Here are five great start-up ideas to get your home business moving today….

I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post that support my home-based business.

So you’ve decided to start a home-based business? That’s great, but where do you start? If you’re online quite a bit, then there’s no reason you can’t start a business right from your own home on the Web. There are so many resources available online today that you can benefit tremendously from the research of others while building your own business. And, many companies will do lots of work for you when you join them.

Here are five easy start-up ideas for your home-based business to save you time and money.

1. Choose Your Hours

Decide how much time you will be able to invest in your home-based business. To be honest, many new business owners never make it because they’re not willing to invest their time. If you work a full-time job and plan to keep it while your home-based business builds, then you should determine how many free hours you can spend working. Can you invest a few hours per day or week perhaps?

Once you choose your hours, stick with them consistently. Treat the home business just as you would a store with operating hours. If you open a store from 9 to 5, then someone must be there during those hours. So, if you plan to work on your new business from 8:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. five nights per week, then let this be your “operating hours!”

2. Choose a Home-Based Business

Even if you plan to start a business selling products of your own, you might find it useful to join with a company to sell their products to build an extra income at first. You can even do both if you can invest enough time and effort into both businesses. Choose a product or service that you enjoy selling. No business is fun if you dislike it. The more you enjoy it, the more likely you are to be successful.

With the Internet, MLM businesses are building down lines like crazy. This is the perfect opportunity for you to earn some extra cash or even a substantial income. The reason MLM businesses are so profitable online is that it is so easy to contact people by email and through your own website. Some MLM companies even do most of the work and contacts for you to save you time and money. Communication is very easy online even if you’re not really a “salesperson.”

If you plan to join an MLM group, be sure to choose a reputable company that has been in business for at least several years. Ask to speak with others who have worked with the company for a while. Check with the Better Business Bureau Online to be sure there have been no (or very few) complaints. There are many scams online today, so sign on with a well-established MLM company to be safe!

3. Prepare Your Home-Based Business Work Area

Before you start a home-based business, be sure your home office is up to par. Upgrade your computer to a fast one with a super-fast Internet connection so your work will not be hindered by outside factors. Also, get a very comfortable desk chair with plenty of back and arm support. Choose a keyboard and mouse that you’re comfortable with, and organize your desk. Working in a well-organized environment clears your thinking so you can work and promote without distraction.

4. Investing Your Money Into Your Business

Before you invest a dime, be certain it’s the right business for you. When selling products for others, you might be asked to invest money before getting started for inventory, membership, a website, and so forth. If so, study every aspect of the business before doing so. Any business start-up will require some monetary investment, but you need to think before you invest.

Once you’ve chosen a business to invest in, set up a budget solely for your business. Having a business account at your local bank will help. Also, set up an account with an online payment processor if possible. PayPal and StormPay are two of the most popular ones online right now. If signing on with an MLM company, find out how they issue their payments first.

5. Use Your Talents and Skills

Whether you sign on with an MLM company or start a business selling your own products and services, remember to use all your talents and skills. Maybe you’re a great typist or a very savvy Internet user. Perhaps you know how to design websites, printed flyers, or promote online. Use your talents to maximize your home-based business profits.

Don’t just sit at home and dream of owning your own business. Use these five start-up tips to get your home-based business moving today!

7 No Cost Tips to Market Your Business

Marketing a business can be fun, exciting and creative. It can also be very frustrating and expensive if one doesn?t know what outcome they are looking for or how to evaluate cost effective methods of marketing. Learn 7 cost effective strategies to market your product, service or business.

I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post that support my marketing.

How Can Marketing Grow My Business?

Marketing a business can be fun, exciting, and creative. It can also be very frustrating and expensive if one doesn’t know what outcome they are looking for or how to evaluate cost-effective methods of marketing.

Over the years people have come to know me for my unique ability to develop low-cost and no-cost strategies to market and promote a business, product, or service. Strategies that have realized incredible returns.

Some of My Successes in Business Included:

– Before my last book was published I pre-sold over $8,000 in books
– Over 250 people registered for a recent seminar in less than 2 weeks and the cost to promote was under $25
– One company used my strategies for a career expo and made over $180,000 in consulting fees
– One speaker sold over $23,000 in product sales back of the room at a two-hour seminar with strategies outlined in my program

I don’t share this to impress anyone, rather impress upon you when using the right strategies for your market, you can realize some incredible results.

People have also come to know me as someone who is a stickler when it comes to putting systems in place. My marketing successes are a direct result of the systems I have implemented.

With a bit of forethought, planning, and desire, you can successfully market your business in a very effective manner. Below are seven proven strategies sure to increase visibility, leads, and sales.

1. Business Cards for Marketing

Business cards are often one of the most underutilized tools in one’s marketing.
Use the front and back of your business card to gain full benefit. Depending on your market you can put some very valuable information on the back such as a sports schedule, emergency numbers, or special dates people want to remember.

Keep some in your wallet, your automobile, on your desk, and some at home. Be sure to carry them with you wherever you go and be willing to hand them out as opportunity presents itself.

Creatively distribute your card. When you eat out you can leave one with the tip.
If you borrow a library book, use one as a bookmark. Hand them to clerks in stores who may know other people who could use your product or service.

When someone gives you their business card be sure to enter their information in your database. Send them a short note or email within 48 hours of meeting them to keep your name fresh in their mind.

2. Send a picture

A great way to keep your name fresh in a customer’s mind is to send them a picture of when they purchased a product or service from you.

Put a picture of a buyer’s auto purchase in a beautiful calendar. Likely, the proud owner of the vehicle will display the calendar for the next 365 days.

For specialty gift shops, when a customer makes a substantial purchase, have a picture taken with the shop owner. Frame the picture and send it to the customer.
Chances are very good the picture will be displayed proudly for friends and family to see.

A dentist who specializes in smile makeovers can easily arrange to have a professional makeup artist and photographer capture the patient’s beautiful new smile. No doubt the patient will be more than happy to show others their new look.

3. Associations for Marketing

Associations particular to your market are a great resource for marketing. There are associations specific to virtually any industry, job type, or business. A quick web search will likely show you how much is available.

A major opportunity within many organizations is the chance to network. Additionally, to make presentations. Along with presentations come publications.
Often, when you do a presentation, you will get a mention in the association newsletter, their Ezine, and/or on their website.

In many cases, when an organization has a newsletter or Ezine, they welcome the presenter writing a press announcement for them. It saves them time and often assures you have a better chance of the information making it into the publication.

They may also welcome you to write an article for their publication or website.
This lends itself to pre-presentation visibility. Additionally, you will position yourself as an expert and increase credibility.

Most organizations have the following opportunities that can help you to gain visibility and do some very effective marketing:

-Newsletters
-Internet listings
-Links to your website
-Discounted advertising rates
-Networking opportunities
-Business referral services
-Special recognition events
-Education seminars

-Business and membership directories

In many cases, you will need to be a member of the association to take advantage of multiple marketing opportunities. In other cases, membership is not necessary.

4. Committee Involvement for Marketing

Committee involvement is a great way to give back to the association or community while building visibility for you and your business. In some cases, you may even want to get involved in a committee where you have little experience or knowledge. This will allow you to stretch yourself and meet and network with individuals you may not have otherwise had the chance to meet.

5. Drawings and Contests for Marketing

Contests are a favorite for many businesses such as restaurants or those that have high foot traffic. Contests are a great way to build your database quickly.
You are generating very hot leads when you have a contest with people who have already frequented your place of business. The key though is to do back-end marketing. Far too many businesses hold contests, get lots of names, and do nothing with them. In this case, it is a complete waste of time to hold a contest.
You can advertise a contest to gain new foot traffic in your place of business.
Trade show booths are a great place to hold a contest. Pre-show marketing helps to generate traffic at your booth. Invite people to stop by booth # _____ (whatever your booth is) to enter to win. Creative contests can also generate free publicity.

6. Cross-promoting

Join with other companies who have products or services that complement yours and promote each other. Let’s say you have a massage business. You could partner with a candle company to sell their candles to your massage clients. They can give out coupons for your massage business. Or the candle company can partner with a gift basket company. Cross-promoting is only limited by your imagination.

This can considerably cut down the cost of business promotion and allow each business to use promotion techniques that might be too expensive to implement alone.

7. Bonuses for Marketing

Secure special offers from various businesses who want to share a similar market as you. When a customer buys a certain amount they receive a bonus packet and the various offers from other vendors. This is a win/win all the way around. The other vendors gain visibility, you have something extra to offer you customers and the customers get incredible value for their purchase.

Be aware of who you cross-promote and joint venture with. Look for someone who will help but also will be equally committed to your campaign.
